“Powerful” isn’t the word most people would use to describe the spiritual life of many churches or Christians today—but in the early church, it certainly was. So what are we missing now that they had then? The answer is found in the misfortune that we’re comfortable talking about God and Jesus, yet often unsure—or even afraid—of what to do with the Spirit. And yet Jesus himself told the disciples it was to their advantage that He go, so the Spirit could come. In our new series, Holy Ghost, we’ll take a closer look at the third Person of the Trinity and discover that what we’ve been missing isn’t something—but Someone.
